Bojović & Partners has acted as local counsel to National Bank of Greece, in its sale of Vojvođanska Banka a.d., NBG Leasing d.o.o., and a portfolio of Serbian-risk corporate loans, to OTP Banka Srbija A.D. Novi Sad.
OTP Bank acquired 100% of ownership in Vojvođanska Banka and NBG Leasing on 4 August 2017. The agreed consideration for the share capital of Vojvođanska Banka and NBG Leasing amounts to EUR 125 million.
It is expected that the financial completion of the transaction will happen by the end of 2017, and OTP Bank Serbia and Vojvodjanska Banka will make maximum efforts to secure an efficient integration of financial institutions.
The B&P team was led by partner Vuk Drašković, as local legal counsel to NBG, while Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer acted as international legal counsel led by corporate partner Sebastian Lawson.
