BD2P’s partner Milica Pešterić, visited the Uvac special nature reserve, organized under the project “Together for the environment” by USAID and AmCham Serbia.
The aim of this project is to strengthen the cooperation between the management of protected areas and the private sector.
The special reserve “Uvac” is a protected natural asset of exceptional importance. The central morphological unit of the reserve is represented by the canyon valley of the Uvac river with the valley of its tributaries. The unique embrace of nature, the interweaving of water and land that surrounds them, is a short description of three beautiful lakes: Uvac, Zlatarsko, and Radonjsko. They were created by the partial submergence of the valley of the mighty Uvac mountain river and the construction of three dams.This conference has always been a favourite forum where experts from universities, scientific institutes and businesses, from the country and the world, present and discuss their scientific results.
